WINEMAKING COMMENTS
In 2006, perfect conditions allowed us to make the red we’ve always wanted - a “Bordeaux Blend” of our best parcels of fruit. In this lovely balanced wine matured in new and two year old French and American Oak barrels, the strength and body of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) is complemented by the ripe fruit and subtlety of Merlot (30%) and Petit Verdot (20%)
COLOUR
Deep crimson
AROMA
Lifted aromas of violets, blackcurrant, raspberry and spearmint combined with complex spice and forest floor notes.
FLAVOUR
The pallet is rich and intense with blackberry fruit flavours supported by wonderfully ripe fine grained tannins.
CELLARING
The tannin and acid structure of this wine will reward careful cellaring over the next 5 to 8 years.
FOOD
Serve with Osso bucco Milanese and Polenta
